3 Inch Shoe Lift — Custom Build-Up Bonded Into Your Own Shoes

A 3 inch shoe lift (7.6 cm) is a large orthopedic correction, and building one that is stable, light and walkable is craft work. Ours is full-length, tapered into a rocker at the forefoot, cored with honeycomb to control weight, and finished with a wider heel base so the shoe stays planted. It is the same method we use for every height, scaled up carefully.

The sole is split and a full-length 3″ layer is bonded and shaped. The rocker taper begins at the ball of the foot and runs to the toe so the step rolls through; the heel base is widened for lateral stability; the outer edge follows the shoe’s outline and is finished in the sole colour.

At 3″ we build with the honeycomb core ($9.99) and recommend rigid material ($19.99) for everyone — the combination keeps the lift light and stiff enough that it does not flex or twist under load. Choose a shoe with a wide outsole and firm heel counter; boots and chunky sneakers are best.
