What a 2.5 Inch Shoe Lift Does
A 2.5 inch shoe lift (about 6.4 cm) sits in the range where the shoe itself has to be chosen with the lift in mind. The build is the same as our 2″ lift — full-length, rocker taper, honeycomb core, wider heel — but the stability details matter more, and so does the shoe you send.

HOW WE BUILD IT
How We Build a 2 1/2″ Lift
Full-length 2.5″ layer bonded into the split sole, tapered from the ball of the foot forward into a rocker, heel base slightly wider than the shoe. Finished in the sole colour. We shape the outside edge to follow the shoe so the build reads as one piece.
We recommend two add-ons at this height: the honeycomb core ($9.99) for weight, and rigid material ($19.99) for stability, especially in work boots and athletic shoes. Send a shoe with a firm heel counter and a flat, wide outsole — chunky sneakers, hiking boots and work boots are ideal; thin flats and narrow heels are not.

What shoes work best for a 2.5 inch lift?
Shoes with a wide, flat outsole and a firm heel: chunky sneakers, hiking and work boots, sport sandals. Narrow dress shoes and heels are not stable at this height. If you are not sure, email us a photo of the shoe before you send it.
Is 2.5 inches safe to wear?
With a wide base, rocker taper and rigid material, yes — people wear lifts at this height every day. Ask your clinician about correcting in stages if you have never worn a lift before, and read our adjustment guide.
