Service Disclaimer

At CnetOrthopedic , we take pride in offering custom orthopedic modifications, including shoe lift installations, designed to support individuals with leg length discrepancies and similar conditions. Each pair of shoes we modify undergoes careful handling and professional workmanship using industry-accepted materials and techniques. However, due to the unique nature of each shoe and the varying needs of each customer, we respectfully advise the following:

  1. Permanent Nature of Modifications
All footwear submitted for modification will undergo structural changes that are generally permanent. Depending on the shoe’s original design and materials, these changes may not be reversible, and in many cases, restoring the shoe to its original condition may not be possible after the lift has been applied.
  2. Variation in Outcomes
Although we aim for consistent, high-quality results, the outcome of each modification may vary based on the original shoe design, material composition, and brand-specific construction. Additionally, environmental factors such as climate, humidity, terrain, and intensity of wear may influence the long-term performance of the materials used in the lift. Customers should take these factors into account when choosing footwear for modification.
  3. Material Compatibility and Use Conditions
The materials and methods we use are selected based on durability, comfort, and compatibility with a wide range of footwear. However, no single material or technique can guarantee universal suitability. Modifications may behave differently under heavy use, in wet or cold climates, or in specialized environments. Customers are encouraged to consult us with any concerns about intended usage conditions before placing an order.
  4. Customer Acceptance of Risk
By submitting footwear for modification, customers acknowledge and accept that they do so at their own risk. This includes the understanding that the shoes may no longer be repairable by third parties or restorable to their factory condition. Customers also acknowledge that cosmetic or functional outcomes may differ slightly from expectations due to the variability inherent in manual, custom work.
  5. Refunds and Remediation
If a customer is dissatisfied with the outcome of a service, we may offer, at our discretion, a one-time redo or partial refund for the labor portion of the work. This offer does not automatically extend to cover the original cost or value of the shoes themselves. Reimbursement for footwear will only be considered in rare cases where there is clear, documented evidence of an error that falls outside reasonable standards of workmanship.
  6. Third-Party Evaluations and Alterations
Our company is not responsible for any damage, loss of function, or inability to repair that may occur after a shoe has been altered by a third party following our modifications. Once a modified shoe has been further handled by another provider, our ability to assess, repair, or offer resolution is limited.
  7. Customer Responsibility
It is the customer’s responsibility to:
    • Provide accurate measurements or prescription information (if applicable),
    • Ensure the selected shoes are appropriate for modification,
    • Communicate specific needs or concerns prior to submission,
    • Understand that custom work is inherently subjective and may result in slight variances.

We strive to ensure every customer receives thoughtful, quality service tailored to their needs. If there are questions or concerns before, during, or after the service process, we welcome the opportunity to address them in a timely and fair manner.
